UOIT students compete in ACM -ICPC East Central North America Regional Programming Contest

Six students from UOIT's Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science competed in the 2009 ACM-ICPC East Central North America Regional Programming Contest held in Hamilton, Ontario on October 31.
The competition featured 115 teams from 60 universities and colleges in Ontario, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Pennsylvania. Each team competed for five hours in an effort to solve eight computer programming problems. UOIT Team A, composed of Kyle Lisk, Daniel St-Jacques and Jonathan Elliott, finished 59th while UOIT Team B, composed of Mackenzie Browne, Calvin Tang and An Luu, finished 87th. This was UOIT's second time participating in the ACM-ICPC Contest.
